I started learning the violin at the tender age of three. My parents recognised my potential early on, as I was always singing and had a keen interest in music. I've had the pleasure of performing at some of the finest concert halls in Australia, including the Opera House, as well as internationally in America and Italy at International Suzuki conferences. At sixteen, I was chosen to play in a Hollywood movie, 'Queen of the Damned'.
Due to my Portuguese heritage, I developed a deep love for 'Fado', learning all the music from cassette recordings. Since seventeen, I've been performing regularly in the 'Musica Viva' world music program with the 'Mandie Vieira Trio', where I serve as the lead vocalist and violinist. One of my most memorable performances was as the supporting act at the Sydney Festival, 'Symphony In The Domain'.
Additionally, I am the lead vocalist and violinist in the band 'ALMA', and alongside Loretta Palmeiro, we've been working on an album of original music set to launch in 2022. I've had the pleasure of performing in Australia and abroad, bringing joy to Portuguese communities with my music.
Aside from my musical pursuits, I am also a beloved Suzuki Violin teacher. Having learned the method from Mr. Yasuki Nakamura OAM, I am committed to continuing his legacy and that of the Japanese founder, Dr. Shinichi Suzuki.
